From the Godzilla board in Times Square, to the Marriott Live board in DTLA, and a WTC station takeover, Quibi wanted to launch their small screen content on some of the biggest screens in the US.
A few went live before the pandemic hit which featured our content sizzle and Quibi’s turnstyle feature.
The rest of the digital out of home that didn’t run included a WTC takeover that had 23 bespoke digital boards built from the motif design and content sizzle.
The Gallery has a 280 foot board that runs :15s.
On this board six Quibi shows were to play across the screen, then quickly shrink down to an actual phone size next to messaging.
In the Underpass there are four huge boards, where a phone would have horizontally slide across to the last board, rotate to vertical, and then expand out into a carousel of shows.
The elevator board would work just like an elevator with a phone sliding up and then back down.
The board leads right up to Eatly, so naturally we’d feature the show Shape of Pasta.
There are nine boards in the Tower that were to show off Quibi’s turnstyle feature. They’d rotate from horizontal to vertical, starting in alternative positions. Each board also features a different show and category.
There are three more boards in the tower to show off Quibi’s quantity of shows. The outside boards were to start by showing multiple show tiles and then zooming into one. The middle board were to act like an anchor with the messaging.
Some liveboards did end up running and were adapted to promote Quibi’s Emmy nominated shows.
